Tactical Solutions for Defense / Progressive Fighting Systems |

The Progressive Fighting Systems were found in 1983 by Paul Vunak
to promote and advance Jeet Kune Do (JKD) and the Filipino Martial
Arts (FMA). He trained several years under Dan Inosanto (Bruce Lee´s
partner and top student) to condense their knowledge, concepts and
experience to a compact format.
Michel Grüner found as a longtime private student of Paul Vunak based on PFS the Tactical Solutions for Defense (TSD). Beside the two main components JKD and FMA the most efficient elements and training methods of additional martial arts and combat sports have been integrated e.g. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kina Mutai, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, Savate, Western Boxing und Tai Chi.
TSD covers all four ranges of combat (Kicking - Punching - Trapping -
Grappling / Ground) and especially emphasizes the training with
different weapons.
Due to its effectiveness and easy learnability it is applied by various
government agencies, law enforcement authorities and military units
worldwide e.g. CIA, DEA, FBI, Navy Seals, Army Rangers, US Marshals
and SWAT-Teams.
